After an incredible inaugural edition last year, where more than 20 riders lined up to take on the challenge, Gapped Ultra Intro returns for 2024—bigger, bolder, and better!
The Gapped Ultra Intro is designed as a gateway to the world of ultra-distance cycling, offering an experience that blends adventure, endurance, and inclusivity. Last year, we broke barriers and welcomed riders of diverse backgrounds, many taking their first steps into the ultra scene. This year, we’re ready to raise the bar.
With London as both the starting and finishing point, we continue to build on the incredible energy and support of our local community. To ease logistical challenges, pre-booking of hotels is permitted to keep costs manageable and reduce last-minute stress.
Whether you’re seeking a personal challenge or testing your competitive spirit against like-minded riders, the Gapped Ultra Intro offers a unique opportunity to push boundaries, embrace adventure, and be part of something special.
Ready to take the start line? Full details, rules, and sign-up information are available on our website. The Gapped Ultra Intro isn’t just a race—it’s a movement.
This year, we’re back. Will you be with us?
*Additionally, there is an unranked category for those who want to take on the 600km distance without the pressure of strict rules or competition. This option allows riders to team up as a group, tackle the challenge at their own pace, and simply enjoy the adventure for what it is—a rewarding, shared experience.
We have tried incredibly hard to make this event as accessible as possible, allowing some 'bending' of the usual rules within the world of ultras. This includes allowing pre-booking night stays and buddying up outside of your team to do so. Nonetheless, we need to have some framework in order to prepare riders for future challenges. You can read the rules and details of the ride and scoresheet here...
