Gapped Pyrenees, 10/08 - 14/08 - £380

Embark on an exhilarating 5-day adventure with us as we traverse the majestic Pyrenees, immersing ourselves in the awe-inspiring landscapes and conquering legendary ascents made famous by the Tour de France!


Every day presents a thrilling choice between two routes: one meandering through picturesque valleys, revealing the charm of quaint villages, and the other challenging the heights of the Pyrenean peaks, offering breathtaking vistas and heart-pounding climbs.


As the sun sets, our exploration extends beyond the cycling routes. In our well-equipped hire car, we'll venture into the enchanting Pyrenean towns, such as the historic Pau and the vibrant Tarbes, savoring the local culture and relishing the panoramic views that make this region truly unforgettable. Join us for a journey where every turn promises not only cycling triumphs but also a feast for the senses with the stunning backdrop of the Pyrenean landscape.

Each day, there will be a 'hilly' and mountainous option. We expect riders to be regularly riding at 16mph+ to access this ride.

Chances are we will have lunch on the road at a nice café on each day. We will aim to have at least one cafe stop each day, if not two! Each evening, we'll head into town to grab some dinner. Breakfast is available at the hotel for £15. We will visit a supermarket on the first day to top-up otherwise.

Full refunds can be given up to 60 days before the trip, after which refunds are unavailable.

At the time of writing, flights from Stansted to Lourdes are ~£100. Factor in baggage cost and bike travel too.

Brief Itinerary

Day 1 - Travel, set-up & short ride

The day will start fairly early for most, before arriving in Lourdes. Car hire will mean our transfers are sorted! Once at the hotel, we will go on a short ride, before heading into the city to grab some snacks & breakfast for the days ahead and a hearty evening meal!

Day 2 - Mountain/Valley ride

Each day, there will be two ride options. One heading into the valleys, the other heading up the mountain! Which will you choose? 


In the evening, we'll head into the neighbouring town/city to grab some grub and explore!

Day 3 - Mountain

On this day, all riders will tackle the Col d'Aspin! A 12km climb, covering 800 meters!

Day 4 - Mountain/Valley ride

Each day, there will be two ride options. One heading into the valleys, the other heading up the mountain! Which will you choose?

A late afternoon flight will allow for an optional shorter ride in the morning. Before packing up and heading home!
