Our monthly ride is designed to enable young people to develop their skills at their own pace, have fun and make friends during the ride, and have an exciting and engaging ride!
Please read through all the following information on this page if you want to book your child on to our session, as it contains important information about our safeguarding practices and code of conduct for children and guardians.
Our ride is from 8am - 10am for intermediate and confident riders aged 13 - 18. You just need to be able to ride a bike confidently and unassisted before joining.
There will be periodic breaks during the session and children will have an opportunity to have a snack/drink.
Children are expected to arrive a few minutes prior to 8am. Repeated late arrivals and late pick-ups will result in your booking being declined for future events.

Download the Spond app and enter the code TPXLN - all rides will be advertised a week in advance, whereby it is first come first served via the app.
All rides begin and end at Balfour Road masjid - late arrivals may result in missing the ride.
All of our lead coaches are British Cycling trained and qualified, DBS checked & First Aid trained. They are also current/former teachers with years of experience working in schools.
Mountain bikes and hybrid bikes (with wider tires) are most appropriate. Dropbar bikes with skinny tires are unsuitable.

Lycra or cycling specific clothing is not essential. Clothing should be comfy, suitable for the activity and not too baggy, to avoid getting caught in your bike. Trainers are preferable, please don’t wear open-toed sandals. All shoe laces must be tucked into shoes.
Please make sure you check the weather before you come; bring a waterproof and warm clothes in case of bad weather. item.
We ask that any child wishing to take part in the session is booked in.
We recommend that you check the weather forecast before attending, dress accordingly and bring a spare set of clothes if necessary. We will continue activities in all but the most extreme conditions. Light rain is not a problem.
In the case of heavy rain during a session we may pause riding. More often than not we are able to continue riding when it eases up. We recommend eye protection with clear lenses if rain is scheduled for your session, as spray from other riders’ wheels is often the foremost safety issue.
We are starting with these monthly sessions, and depending on their popularity we may introduce others.
